I really didn't like her. I found it too fake and quick. As Arthur said, there was nothing unsual about how quickly the two grew close - Uther's a wealthy and powerful man. Man, I was so disappointed with how deaf he was to all the warnings, especially as his advisors tend to be right. Pre-enchantment, he was too taken in for the stern, strict, anti-magic man he is.
Also, I know this is very much an opinion, but I didn't find anything beautiful or appealing about her. Sarah Parish, whilst acting rather well as a troll in disguise, didn't make me think Princess.
Once Uther was under her spell, she was better because she could allow the troll's weakness for gold take a hold and treat Uther like a puppet rather than keep a lower profile and her corruption was quick but before that I wasn't keen.
