Colin Morgan on season 3: "Darker things to come..."
12/23//09
According to The Coventry Times "Geek Files" Colin Morgan reflects on season 2 of Merlin and predicts "darker things to come in season 3." Colin Morgan revealed in the Geek Files interview:
DOES THE DRAMATIC SECOND SERIES FINALE SET THE TONE FOR THE THIRD SERIES?
I think so. Those who have been following the second series will see as it has progressed it gets quite dark. It's setting up quite a lot of serious storylines for the future, and it is taking a darker tone. It still has that humour and charm, but there's definitely those darker themes taking over. Definitely, by the end of the second series, a lot of the characters, especially Merlin and also one other character, will have been changed forever, really. Big things are happening and big things are yet to come. So hopefully those storylines will be continued.

| Richard Wilson stars in Twelfth Night
12/22//09
At 73, Richard Wilson is having his Shakespearian debut as Malvolio in Twelfth Night.
Wilson talks about his decision in The Evening Standard.
“Greg said to me years ago, When I direct Twelfth Night I want you to play Malvolio'. I said Yeah, sure'.” Wilson's overwrought Scottish enunciation fills the phrase with blasé sarcasm. “When he told me it was happening this year I said, Am I not too old?' He said no. So I found myself saying yes to this very scary thing.”

Rockin' Mod Boy extrodinare CorneliusSigan brought us the final recap of the season with The Last Dragonlord. It's Sigan's first go at a recap and he did a stunning job!
As the Great Dragon is freed by Merlin, he wastes no time in seeking revenge upon Camelot. People are screaming, running, and fires surround them all. Camelot is in disarray.
Arthur emerges from the smoke with a handful of his knights, prepared to defend their people from the wrath of the Dragon. Guinevere and Gaius tend to the injured within the castle walls, knowing that none stand a chance against the Dragon, as Gwen admits that even Arthur has little chance of defeating the Dragon...

| The Fires of Idirsholas recap by Lady_Valerie
12/15//09
Lady_Valerie has stepped up again and written another awesome recap for The Fires of Idirsholas! (She also wrote the Beauty & the Beast Part 1 Recap.) Here's an excerpt from The Fires of Idirsholas!
At the Citadel of Idirsholas, in a dark room overhung with spider webs and decay, the powerful sorceress Morgause chants a spell as she circles a group of ancient figures in iron masks who are set about a round table. One of the figures begins to move and Morgause smiles.
In Camelot, a herdsman approaches Uther at Court and tells him that he had taken his flock to the valley beneath the Citadel of Idirsholas. He reports that he saw smoke rising from the Citadel, but nothing else. The herdsman reminds Uther that no one has been inside the Citadel for 300 years, but suggests that Uther must know the legend.
Gaius speaks, saying that the legend says when the Fires of Idirsholas burn, the Knights of Medhir will ride again. Uther rewards the herdsman with food and lodging and then tells Arthur to ride out to investigate the happenings at Idirsholas. Arthur makes it clear that he does not believe in the legend. Merlin, however appears concerned.
