Merlin Season 1 and 2 DVD Release Dates!

Good news for those of you waiting for the US version season 1 on DVD
Merlin The Complete Season 1 is ready for pre-order from Amazon.com. The DVD will be released on April 20, 2010
For those of you in the UK, Merlin The Complete Season 2 will be released on February 8, 2010.

| At Last! Merlin Season 2 Coming to the US!

GREAT NEWS MERLIN FANS!!! According to The Futon Critic, SYFY has aquired the rights to air Merlin in the US.
Futon Critic:
NBC aired "Merlin's" first season on Sunday nights last summer. Syfy will rebroadcast those 13 installments as part of a day-long marathon on Sunday, March 28 beginning at 10:00 AM ET. Season two then is expected to make its U.S. premiere on Friday, April 2 alongside the return of "Stargate Universe." READ THE FULL ARTICLE

| A Merlin Video Game in the Works?

According to the game business site mcvuk.com, BBC is gearing up for a few franchise video games. Last week we heard about the upcoming Doctor Who game and now the rights for a Merlin video game are up for grabs! Here at MerlinTVShow.com We'll be keeping a close eye on this one!
MCVUK states:
Rights-holder and production house FremantleMedia is on the hunt for partners to create a game based on fantasy drama Merlin. The show can be seen in some 165 countries and boasts 6m viewers in the UK.
A third series is currently planned for a September launch, complete with a variety of licensing tie-ins including, playsets, figurines, DVDs, books, costumes, calendars, bags, wallets and more.
“We are already talking to a number of games companies, but nothing has been signed yet,” said VP of brand licensing and retail at Fremantle, Pindy O’Brien.
“It’s quite perfect for a video game, with Arthur and Merlin trying to conquer evil, and all the weird and wonderful characters. The third series begins in September, so hopefully we can have something out for the end of the year – if not we can always look towards next year.
