I think that Gaius is a great character, I like the fact that he takes care to let Merlin do his magic, but is also a great friend to merlin and keeps an eye out for him. Was Gaius ever married? signed willow

I just wanted to mention that he has shewn his ability, although rusty, to practice magic in "th poisoned chalice" where he put a spell on the potion to enhance its abilities.

And for the quotes, i think perhaps "Magic isn't to be used for tricks merlin" or somewhere along the lines of that should count.
