Merlin Season 3 Speculations

| What do you think Season 3 will bring? | Lots of humour, battles with other kingdoms as well as magic, bigger and bolder beasts, more lovely lusty knights, the beginning of the round table. |
| Plot twists? | Arthur will trap Merlin into revealing his secret, (he knows there is something going on but no idea how powerful he is, thinks he is just a dabbler) then he will be horrified/repulsed by it but loyal to the friendship..mega angst. |
| Character bombshells? | Morgause is Arthur's sister, daughter of Uther and Morgana's mother smuggled out of Camelot for the shame of it. The Cad! |
| Potential relationships? | Gaius is visited by an old flame..a sorceress of course. Merlin starts to dream about Nimueh..will he unconciously bring her back from the dead? Lancelot and Gwen see each other again. |
| Recurring guest stars and characters? | Morgana and Morgause, Alavarr. Mordred, Nimueh. |
| Jaw droppers? | Leon is not dead and saw and heard Merlin talking to the dragon. Gwen has a devious twin sister that tries to seduce Arthur. |
| What SHOULD happen? | Arthur really matures stops bullying Merlin (although he might keep it up for appearances and the odd laugh.) Merlin has something good happen to him for once that isn't taken away. |

| What do you think Season 3 will bring? | A more linear plot, larger scale battles, killer special effects, deeper characterization, tragic losses, more romance and greater friendships |
| Plot twists? | I think season three will finally be the time for Arthur to find out about Merlin's magic and as a result Arthur will see Merlin as more of an equal (I know a shocking twist!!!!) |

| Potential relationships? | Lancelot/Gwen Arthur/Gwen Merlin/Freya |
| Recurring guest stars and characters? | Lancelot returns and becomes a more regular character. Morgana comes back as one of the main villains along with Morgause and Mordred (Aliance of the Ms. Let's hope *M*erlin watches himself or he might get sucked in). Freya I want to return as well to give Arthur excalibur. I'm not sure how the dragon will come back but I sure hope he's there. |
| Jaw droppers? | As much as I hate to say it I think that Gaius's time is done and at the end of season 3 merlin will lose him =( |
| What SHOULD happen? | Morgana should be really evil but at the end of the season Merlin should bring her back to the light |

| What do you think Season 3 will bring? | I think that it will bring more humor, more angst and much more magic!! Also I hope that the episodes will more likly co-exist with each other instead of just reseting the characters every time an episode passes (i.e. Freya dying) |
| Plot twists? | Arthur will need to find out about Merlin's magic, and maybe, in his anger try to kill Merlin accidently. But Merlin, through all the hurt and angst, still hangs around to save Arthur again. Then Arthur sees that Merlin is really good and forgives him. I think that Uther finding out about Merlin's gifts will probably end up being in a possible season 4, but I hope not! |
| Character bombshells? | Morgana will maybe return to Camelot with a plot, but under the pretense that she had just escaped Morgause. She will then reveal to all that Merlin poisoned her which will cause a lot of angst. Also more should be menitoned about her parents. |

| Character bombshells? | As I Said Morgana, Mordred and Morguse )The Producers Like Names With M Don't They) And So Does Freya. Freya Helps Merlin and Arthur While The 3 M's plot Against them. (This Is Super Weird But Anyway) Someone (Morgana or the 3 M's) Should Make I t Look Like Uthur Has Magic and He Should Be Thrown in The Dungeons And Die/ Almost Die. Also Arthur Should Find Out About The Whole Gwen/ Lancelot thing and fell SUPER Betrayed by Gwen and Dump Her!! |

| What SHOULD happen? | No cop out with the discovery of Merlin's magic perleease ie not just Gwen et al finding out but Arthur has to know - he can't be that dumb for much longer and I am sure he must have at least a detached retina from being knocked out that often. |

| What do you think Season 3 will bring? | Hopefully at least one two- or three part story. Merlin's magic will be exposed to someone, and yes, the three evil M:s will hatch some super-evil plan to get rid of Uther. |
| Plot twists? | Mordred ends up helping Merlin. Somehow. |
| Character bombshells? | Gaius dies? Come on, he is bullied so often on this site, the people who make the show must notice that he's not the most loved character. |
| Potential relationships? | Gwen/Arthur, of course. Certainly some Merlin/Arthur friendship. Possibly more Freya/Merlin. |
| Recurring guest stars and characters? | Lancelot will probably be back, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for Freya. Morgana will return turned properly evil, accompanied by Morgause and Mordred. The dragon will return at some point, possibly to advice Merlin once again. |
| Jaw droppers? | The return of Freya? She couldn't be back for good, though, Merlin would have to lose her again. |
| What SHOULD happen? | Arthur definitely needs to find out about Merlins magic. Or else go blind and deaf. A little Nimueh, whether trough an unlikely resurrection or trough a flashback, would be welcome. And I'm hoping that the show gets a bigger budget and so can splash out on better special effects. My non-Merlin-fan friend keeps teasing me about that. |

| What do you think Season 3 will bring? | I thik Season 3 will bring Morgana back and she will more evil then ever. Arthur and Gwen will have meetings together that nobody but Merlin knows of. The Great Dragon comes back and Morgana will want to hunt down Merlin for getting her almost killed. |
| Plot twists? | Arthur finds out that Merlin has magic and helps him keep it from his father. Lancelot comes back but he wants to fight Artur for Gwen back. Uther almost gets killed but Merlin saves him and Uther finds out he has magic. |
| Character bombshells? | Gaius ends up dieing trying to save Merlin yet again from being found because he used magic and somebody saw. |
| Potential relationships? | Gwen and Arthur fall in a more deep love then before and it gets them in lots of trouble. |
| Recurring guest stars and characters? | The Great Dragon will return in seek of Merlins help this time instead of Merlin wanting The Great Dragon helps. Fraya returns but as a ghost to warn Merlin of his future. |
| Jaw droppers? | There will be another Dragin that Uther didn't know about. Mordred comes to help Merlin to take Morgana down because shes too powerful. |
| What SHOULD happen? | Merlin and Arthur's friendship becomes more and more greater. Arthur finds out the Merlin has magic and then helps him keep it all hush hush. Uther finds out Merlin has magic then him and Arther have a duel to see what will happen to Merlin. Gwen has to chose between Arthur and Lancelot and another dragon shows up. |

Merlin is a good story line, but now that a 4th season is expected they need to move the story along. Some things I would expect from viewers in order to encourage a 5th season:
1. Merlin needs to demonstrate a significant leap in his abilities to put himself well on the way to the class of wizard he will eventually become. 2. Some circumstance must occur that reveals Merlin's abilities to Arthur, yet retain Arthur's trust. 3. Maybe if Merlin advances to a more to the role of a colleague with someone else taking over the servant's role??? 4. Merlin's father has got to go. 5. The Round Table must be established. What's your thoughts? |

Merlin has already come close to revealing his magic to Arthur, he should tell him at some point (Merlin is always saving Arthur anyway
