Hey Merlin Fans,
Not sure if you all have heard, but there is going to be a Merlin Season 3 (2010)!
"Anthony Head confirmed in Merlin Secrets and Magic - A Family Affair that as far as he knows there will be a series 3. The third series of Merlin is expected to be available in high-definition in line with the BBC's stated policy of moving all television production to HD by 2010." 61  out of 62 found this valuable. I really hope wee see in season 3 Arthur and Gwen get together and start an sort of seacret affair behind Uthers back. Last nights epidoe really got me started on their relationship cause the two of them seem such a perfect fit and you could tell they are really in love.

Oh me too!!! I think it would be awesome!!! I love their angst though, but I think the secret affair would make it even more interesting and exciting! When is season 3? Is it gonna be like last season? Only like 13 episodes? Here in the US our seasons last like 22 episodes. That just seems strange. But yeah I can't wait for Arwen! I also can't wait until Morgana finds out she is Morgause's sister, she is gonna be pissed that Uther kept that from her! I am not really feeling Uther. He just seems like a hypocrite and I just really don't like him. I kinda hope Arthur killed him (which is very bad but...) especially after he was gonna have Giaus executed! And he called him a long time friend pfft! Yeah I don't like Uther so I hope in Season3 Arthur can be King and we can get rid of Uther although I don't think it'll be that easy. 13  out of 16 found this valuable. Do you?

Most series in UK tv for some reason seem to be around 6 or 12/13 episodes :D I wish Merlin was 22!!!!!!!! It takes them 8months to film the 13 episodes so i doubt very much that they would consider extending the amount........Unfortunatly!
I would like to see a secret affair start to develop between Arthur and Gwen....about time!!!lol. But after last nights episode it seems like there planning on abandoning the idea again. The whole thing of Gwen saying they'll never be together and bowing to him. Kind of suggests they wont be reviiting it for a while. I think it's the next or the one after when Morgana finds out, from the clip they are at least beginning to show Morgana turning evil!!!! Which im glad about, i think it will develop her character far more, at the moment she doesnt seem to have much storylines.
I hope they dont kill Uther, i like his character, all the tensions stem from him, and basically the whole show. lol. And it would be boring if they suddenly made Arthur King. I like the fact he and Merlin can act fairly free and joke around. They wouldnt if he was King. Plus Anthony Head is the biggest star on the show.......so they wouldnt get rid off him!!! haha.
I rekon that the final episode in which the Dragon is free will show him injure Uther, and there will be a whole cliff hanger in which you dont know if he will survive. Which we will find out in season3. Maybe they will kill Gaius in the episode. I think there building up to that idea......although i love Richard Wilson!!! :D
Im thinking were going to see alot more of Morgana in season 3, getting deeper into the world of magic and slowly moving away from Gwen and Merlin, And closer to the Druids and Modred. 7  out of 9 found this valuable. Do you?

Im not so sure they only done that at the end there because Gewn has no hope of her and Arthur happening because she doesnt feel good enough but you can tell she loves him whilst Arthur does believe it can happen and he loves her and as he said theres been no other. Gwen just thinks shes doing the right thing by pushing him away to save them both from heartache.

In the end at somepoint i have a feeling there will be some sort of jealousy storyline yet again but this time its a completly strange guy chasing after Gwen possibly hes the servant to aprincess brought in for Arthur and him and Gwen hit it off and they become close but Gwen looks as friends whilst he wants more he comes close forcing his lips on her but she pushes him away and Arthur either catches him and nearley kills him then he speaks to her about him maybe saying hes no good for her or something attempting to put her off maybe he even gives her work so that shes busy, and she realises hes jealous and very protective the 2 of them realise their feelings and have a wee heart to heart this can be a sort of sub-plot to a bigger storyline. 8  out of 10 found this valuable. I'm happy for a third season, not of Morgana being evil, but I think we cannot do too much to change the order of things. 4  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

ye i agree that the bit at the end was just because they wanted to show Gwen pushing him away as she thinks theres no chance. But it also just looks like the writters are putting the idea to bed again for a while. And at some point in the 3rd series they will suddenly have the tension and glances again, if it fits with a storyline! lol. that happens alot!!! :D
I'd love for the writters to do as you said have an episode where Gwen is being pursued by someone and Arthur is jealouse!!! Would be funny id imagine!!!

Im looking forward to Morgana being evil. It will make a change from the usual, im so weak/im under alot of tension that she usualy gets. I want to see her as a powerful and threatning character! But i doubt that we will anything evil untill the end of season 3 going into season 4(i hope!!!!!) 12  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

to morganna23 - I hope Uther stays too! Without him there would be no Merlin creeping around the castle and the tension of using magic. I hope he survive this season, but I want the Dragon to survive too, he's got so much knowledge, which could help Merlin in the future, just as it did to help him trap Sigan's soul!

I don't want anyone to die yet, although Gaius looks likely to go. I can't really see why the Dragon would have anything against him...

Anyway, it's all very exciting! :D

I know i hope the Dragon doesnt die as there is only so much Gaius can help Merlin with. The Dragon is the only link atm for Merlin to the Old Religion! Plus what is the Arthurian Legend without a Dragon!!!! lol :D
I hope Gaius doesnt go but i think they will kill off a main character. Last year Nimueh went so they will most likely have it that its a cliff hanger with someone!!!

Okay, Arthur really needs to at least start suspecting Merlin's a warlock. It's really getting painful. I hope they have an episode where he sees Merlin cast a spell but he just dosen't say anything. 7  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

Have doubts that Arthur will find out about Merlin in series 3 aswell i dont think we will see that till the very end which the bc wont do unless the ratings drop really bad. I think someone will find out though.

I really dont know how their going to deal with the Dragon there will be some sort of twist we didnt eexpect there always is.

I think though we will definetley see Arthur and Gwen be brought back about half way through witht hem becoming a couple of a sort with a seacret affir which i really think would go down well as long as it didnt overshadow other eipsodes!!!! I really hope thewriters do go along the lines i said Gwens chased Arthurs extremly jealous and makes it shown Gwen confront him and the guy that chases her is out and the two of them cant hold back anymore in short aha.

don’t like the fact that Morgana is going to be evil but hey….better than nothing And it is almost nothing.this year
What I would love to see is some sort of continuation; I would love to see the characters remember what they got through the episodes no more reset-button effect please.
Lake yesterday for instance….Merlin should have been heartbroken…...
And I definitely want to see Gaius and the Dragon again and maybe a more self confident Merlin

September seems soooo far away…..:O(

there should be an episdoe where Gwen gets mistaken as a bride for some other guy. Merlin and Arthur finds out and races against time to crash the wedding while bumping into the real bride too. Arthur runs thru the doors and yells: I object! the priest will be lyk: on what grounds? Arthur will be lyk: because...because...(realises the real bride is not behind him, looks at gwen)...because she's my wife! 5  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

im glad they're making a 3 season =)

im kinda disappointed about morgana turning all evil and everything; i really like her character being good-hearted and caring and then all of a sudden she's gonna turn evil?? they left her there and gave her almost no lines whatsoever after she discovered she had magic and then they tried to revive the fact again. i think they should have showed some of her turning evil little by littler rather than a sudden change.

i just hope that they dont change the characture who plays merlin because apariantly they are changing the charaicture but then that would be bad. and i dont no what will happen in the next serius but cannot weight!!!! really exited alot. and hope that they dont change the characture. found it sad when merlin had to kill morgana but she comes back alive and is evil that sounds cool and cannot weight o see what happens or to see of that evil grows but also for her to find out that she has a sister that would be a shock to her though. 6  out of 8 found this valuable. oooh i can't wait! things i'd like to see would be:

1. arthur at least finding out about merlin- imagine serious conflict of trust, loyalty, everything arthur's ever believed about magic, his confidence in merlin, all those close shaves, his belief about his own abilities, i mean EVERYTHING!!!

2. of course the return of morgana- and i'd like her not to be all 100% evil but just as complicated and difficult in terms of her relationships and motives so that even though we as an audience side with arthur, get totally heart broken by her :)

3. arthur and gwen- come on!!!!!

4. maaaaaybe the lady in the lake? excaliber? although i think that might well be more of a series 5 thing- you know- major hard core revelations etc perhaps?
