UntouchableTreasure	MWT: The Merlin Withdrawal Thread Dec 21 2009, 7:34 PM EST Hello all, After watching the season finale on Saturday, and seeing the "Secrets and Magic - That's A Wrap" on Youtube, I have begun to have some serious Merlin withdrawals! Just thinking that the filming for Season 3 is going to take another 8 months... : ( wow. Here come the withdrawals. Anyway, I thought I'd start a thread where we can all commiserate, speculate, and anticipate Season 3 together! : ) Waiting, semi-patiently, --U.T. By the way... is there any more news out there on Season 3 besides the fact that it has been confirmed? Really, I'm dying to know! Post reply Do you find this valuable? RE: MWT: The Merlin Withdrawal Thread Dec 21 2009, 7:54 PM EST I'm having withdrawals too! sobs Well for us I think the best way to end the series was our site being mentioned of sorts on "Secrets and Magic"! It's nice to know that we have been noticed! =D Season 3..... Well I don't think there is any more facts apart from the fact that there is going to be a Season 3. So I suspect all we can do for know is wait and speculate, unless anyone has found any more info (Please, please, please! =D) Well perhaps in Season 3 both Uther and Gaius could die. Lancelot's return is something I am looking forward to more than anything else; he should have had 2 episodes in Season 2, especially as Mordred did! Arthur and Merlin's friendship will hopefully just strengthen and strengthen, and Season 2 left us hoping that that will just happen. Also people may learn more about Arthur and Gwen, as their intimacy right at the end of the episode surely must have been noticed by some of the guards. Morgana - it's almost definite she has changed sides now. Morgause will heal her and Mordred may meet up with them. Together they could begin to form some sort of druid army that will increase in size and power, threatening all the Kingdoms of Albion. Or maybe that will be for Season 4, as I heard that there will be no Morgana at all in Season 3; that could just be a mis-understanding. I hope it is :S I suppose all we can do is speculate, hunt for info, write fanfiction, make fanvids, draw fanart, and maybe some of us could even go to Pierrefonds to get some sneaky pics =P Overall I am glad that this site has been noticed, who knows who could be looking at this site now? It's amazing to imagine that any one of the cast & crew of Merlin could be checking out our site! : ) I am DYING for Lancelot to return. I also agree on the Morgana situation... she has turned to Morgause, and now both of them will be out with a new plan to slay Uther. I feel that Uther is really holding the series back from developing (and from Lancelot becoming a knight, and staying for a while : )), and I think his death would allow the series to really become the legend we all know and love. Even better if they joined! =P I'm wondering how Lancelot will return; a tournament perhaps? Maybe one of the Kings of Albion may take him on, and he will beat Arthur in a fight? =P I'm interested to see how Uther will die, and who will finally suceed in killing him, if anyone. :S It would be horrible if it was Morgana who killed him, and Arthur saw her doing it. That would completely destroy any sort of friendship they have left. If Morgana will find out about Merlin's magic, it could be through two ways: Morgause doesn't know that Merlin is a warlock, but Mordred deoes. Perhaps he will tell her, and Morgause while he is at it. Or she finds out when she tries to cast a magic spell at him, and he easily blocks it. That would surely give her a nasty shock. I don't think there is any point in asking "When" will Arthur find out about Merlin's biggest secret. I think it's better to ask "How" he will find out. Of course there are any possibilites but I am sure we will come up with some good ones =D And The Great Dragon (I'm going to call him Kilgharrah now =P), I really REALLY hope to see him again. He is the best magical ally Merlin could possibly have. As he is now a Dragonlord perhaps their friendship will strenghten with the bond they have =D The Biggest question for me is; will Sigan return? =P Post reply Do you find this valuable?

I'd like to think she'd become a key antagonist. The thing I really want to happen in series 3 is for Arthur to find out Merlin's secret (as many of us do). However, I don't want it to happen in a blatantly obvious fashion. I like the idea of Merlin not knowing that Arthur knows he has magic and Arthur not letting up that he knows. Then the joke would be on Merlin rather than the other way about ('What would you know about magic Merlin...?') I think they'd have to be careful about how they do this. The series could lose a bit of its momentum and suspense if they don't do it in the right way. As for dealing with 8 months of withdrawal, I know my flatmates and I are planning a trip to Pierrefonds. We were thinking the end of May/start of June as they did filming during that time last year. However, we are going to check that out and make sure that they are definitely filming there during that time. I was rather excited when they included a snapshot of this site on Secrets and Magic. I must say that it is lovely to have joined this community. It's nice to be around like-minded people. Post reply Do you find this valuable?

But contrary to the purpose of AA meetings I don't really want to recover. The cold turkey has begun on the Merlin front. Emeli	17. RE: MWT: The Merlin Withdrawal Thread Dec 22 2009, 11:32 AM EST Oh, man, I know it's gunna get easier with time, but right now I'm pretty useless, the last episode was so epic. I mean, I wasn't that much of a fan in season 1, but season 2 has sold me, and if I follow that trend, season 3 is going to floor me. I don't think we'll get to see Uther's death, maybe in the finale. And I really don't think this show could survive without Gaius. I can't wait to see both Lancelot and Excalibur return to the scene. Not so much looking forward to Morgana and Co. as they are super, super creepy. I hope we get a few more light hearted episodes, Sweet Dreams was so fantastic and such a relief from all the dark episodes. sigh I guess I'll just have to wait and see. It was bad enough waiting a whole week for the next episode. But nine months ... I would love the confrontation between Arthur & Merlin to be a two-hander episode (occasionally done on British TV ). I think Bradley and Colin are great actors and could carry it off. Obviously they would need an exceptional script. Also Anthony Head mentioned in S&M A Family Affair episode, that there was still a story to be told between Morgause, Morgana, Ygraine, Uther and Arthur. Does that mean that we will find out Morgause is Arthur's half sister? Is Ygraine her mother and Girlois her father? How would that be explained? Uther is so deceitful / stretcher of the truth that it may be possible? Post reply Do you find this valuable?
